The Mediatheque is a recognized cultural center based in the city of Holon, consisting of several cultural and educational institutes. These institutes include the Holon Design Museum, Central Library, Theater, Cinematheque and more, each aimed at providing quality and variety of content to a wide range of audiences. Problem is, most people are unaware of the unity of them all, and so a complex and inaccurate brand identity was built over time.
How can a house of several independent brands create recognition as one entity, and still keep the uniqueness of each one separately? Our biggest challenge was creating a versatile platform in all levels that will empower the center’s perception and status. The process with the Mediatheque included new brand architecture, aiming for a one strong and united brand that reflects their exclusive approach to culture.
By creating a single frame with one variable element, we were able to convey a clear visual language that could adapt to any particular brand, or even a specific show or exhibition. We designed the logo in a such a way that its colors will be affected by the content being used. The result is a brand identity that reflects a strong and unified house of brands that still enables each institution its own unique identity.
