As technology and digital devices penetrate every facet of our lives, the competitive environment for semiconductor manufacturers is becoming more and more demanding. Chip makers demand precision process insight and clarity in order to boost performance, product yields and shorten time to market.
Nova Measuring Instruments has been an established player for more than two decades in the chip process control and measuring market, competing with giants like KLA Tencor. But Nova and its market underwent so many changes and shifts, that it need to tell a new story that would reflect Nova’s promise, potential, strengths and ingenuity.
We helped Nova distill and refresh its core mission: mining and analyzing information to be a source of knowledge for fab operators. Nova measures things that the eye can’t see — things that are formed over a long and repetitive process. It gleans precise information worth millions and looks for ways to make this more rapid, more accurate, and more efficient. But Nova takes this information a step beyond, harnessing the knowledge it gets and helping customers extract value from it. This is Nova’s brand mission -- we call it “precision insights.”
To visually represent how Nova’s products constantly looks for ways to improve, the design language and logo uses beam-like figures and rays of light that scan for insights. The brand colors are electric, symbolizing the scientific pursuit of innovation.
