When we first met the Innovation Authority in 2016, it was a young, ambitious authority dedicated to the goal of building an infrastructure for innovation in Israel. We developed a visual language and formulated the authority's brand strategy together. Seven years after our launch, we are happy to announce an overwhelming success - Israel is one of the leaders in the innovation ecosystem, with the Innovation Authority contributing to the industry's investment, strengthening, and support. During its seven years of intensive activity, the Innovation Authority became recognized and established, and its role changed as Israel's high-tech industry became stable and more independent. With change and growth, the Innovation Authority needed to recalculate its path and find the critical spots where it could take the industry to the next level.
A new strategy was developed based on the recognition that the Innovation Authority's initial role had been successfully accomplished. Innovation - check, infrastructure - check - what's next?
Considering the Authority's past achievements and capabilities, it’s in an unparalleled position within the Israeli and global innovation industry. The Innovation Authority is the institutional enabler that promotes the public interest,
paving the way through experience and knowledge to direct Israeli technological entrepreneurship. The new positioning is "Innovation leader and expert". Brand Essence represents a "breakthrough" in Israeli society, research, and entrepreneurship. In order to position the Israeli hub as a competitive hub in constant growth, the Innovation Authority is working to break new ground and prepare the economy for the future of technology.
The Innovation Authority logo represents initiative and discovery. The logo is the most tangible, central, and recognizable part of a brand's identity. That's why we're keeping the logo we designed in 2017 and changing the font to something more contemporary. The color palette consists of 12 colors associated with high-tech, technology, and innovation. Photographic language is composed of abstract images in 3D to evoke curiosity, and photographs in diverse technological fields to describe a more specific subject. It also consists of authentic photographs of a start-up's day-to-day life. We created a light and abstract icon language that uses the logo to create a coherent language.
The rebranding process gives the Innovation Authority a springboard to take it to the next stage, after building the infrastructure, the brand is ready to guide the Israeli ecosystem for breakthroughs.
