In today’s world, society and intimacy have gone through such a whirlwind of evolution. We can divide society into two main groups: people who grew up with pre-social media and pre-pandemic social structure, and the young audience that’s literally growing up with it as we speak. Both groups might feel lonely and disconnected in different ways, yet the outcome is emotionally identical. Brands today share the acknowledgment and mission of connecting human beings by tangible means – because we’re social creatures after all, looking to mark and celebrate life events, to fuel ourselves up and find sense in time and movement. Fyuzd came up with a brilliant idea: amplify connections through mutual listening and sharing of music, simultaneously.
Fyuzd literally fuses listeners together – with music. We started working together, beginning with brand strategy that helped us position Fyuzd in the vast field of music apps and devices. Yes, there are plenty of other options if you’re looking to share music. But the emotional insight of Fyuzd sets it apart: it’s positioning is A SYMBOL OF FRIENDSHIP, while the brand essence is AMPLIFYING US. This emphasis puts the group first and the music second. This is a brand that starts with WHY and celebrates it. We then moved on to craft a visual language and an app for Fyuzd.
We faced an interesting question: how do we design something that’s meant for audible use? We worked closely with Fyuzd and fellow app developers through ideation and creative thinking workshops. Together, we created an app that allows you to attend parties differently, create them with a playlist and always share with friends – while physically celebrating together or vibing from afar. The logo for Fyuzd leans on the Penrose Triangle and presents an open form of it, symbolizing continuity and making the impossible happen, no matter where you are. We chose a vibrant nightlife style look that connects users immediately to the party world with a dark background and touches of neon. We crafted a brand and an app that reminds us to celebrate life together easily. It’s always party o’clock somewhere.
