Urban planners have been facing a crucial question: how do we make people rethink their daily commute to work, and ditch the comfort and privacy of their cars? We were faced with the same issue back when we met with Dan Public Transportation, who wished to launch a new PT service, without competing with busses and taxis. Rather, positioning the new service as an additional, attractive alternative to the already existing public transport system.
To do this, Dan Public Transportation, a key PT operator, teamed up with Via, an Israeli based and world-renowned player in the geo-based transportation industry. Via had developed a smart algorithm that live-updates its routes by order, and chooses the shortest ones without any orbital limitations. The algorithm also detects traffic in real-time and , which allows it to seamlessly and swiftly plan pick-up and drop-off points to match their passengers. As we carved away searching for this product’s identity, we realized it is inevitably social as the passengers still share the space, but at the same time, it is an on-demand, tailored and individual service. In other words: this is a personal public transportation service.
This is how Bubble came to life – we named it aptly. It is truly a win-win solution: users can pre-order rides through the app in maximal comfort, have the Bubble van pick them up from any bus station, and thanks to the Via algorithm, have their route personally planned, and get to their destination ASAP. Bubble vans have the logo symbol gracing their black doors, conveying a certain prestige while remaining somewhat casual, light and urban. The vans offer single seats in which you can comfortably nap or neatly work while on the road. We designed Bubble vans to match the brand’s strategy, promoting a techy, easy, clean and smart product, that doesn’t threat and interferes with transportation and taxis, but naturally integrates with modern city life.
Bubble is the ultimate solution for efficient urban daily commute, allowing users to create a little space in the hustle and bustle without cutting themselves out of it.
